Location: Kingsborough, Riverstown, Co. Sligo

This building is thought to be the work of the English Architect John Nash, built in 1820 and with its giant Portico and rear watch tower presents a commanding appearance on a beautiful site.  The survey of grand and not so grand historic houses is something the practice does well and as with other commissions our client wanted an independent professional opinion on the condition of the house.

We undertook a preliminary survey looking at the main elements of the house so that the vendor could decide how best to proceed.  We undertake full RICS condition surveys looking at every aspect of the house and its outbuildings.  Years of working with historic buildings, as recognised in our RICS conservation accreditation, means our reports are comprehensive and our conclusions provided estimates of costs for the repairs recommended.  This allows our clients to make sound judgements on acquisition and then repair or alteration.

Similar commissions in County Tyrone came to the Practice on the back of survey reports prepared by others.  Vendor felt the reports paid for did not give categoric advice on how best to proceed with the purchase and contacted us for a thorough and comprehensive service.
