St. Cedma’s Parish Church stands on an ancient ecclesiastical site with parts of the present church dating from 1350 but with extensive Victorian restoration. Our Quinquennial inspection of the church fabric confirmed rainwater penetration was becoming an issue and the roof slating and Tower fabric was coming to the end of its life. The Parish, with our help, was successful with an application for grant aid to the Listed Places of Worship Repair Scheme.
We were retained to provide an architectural service to design and oversee a scheme of repair to the roofs and high-level masonry of the Tower. This work used traditional materials and workmanship. The work was a success, finishing on time and on budget to a very high standard.
“I could not recommend this Practice highly enough. Their attention to detail in every respect is of a very high order. The entire practice works very well as a team and ensures that contacts made are always dealt with effectively and efficiently. Nothing it seems is too much bother
